Wayne takes an interest in most sports, He enjoys golf and plays off a handicap of 16.
As a teenager Wayne used to be a BMX stunt rider.
He supports Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and appeared in the 2009 May Edition of Hotspur, the club's official club magazine.
Wayne is also a keen poker player and recently made the final table at Leg 6 of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour - finishing in 7th place to win £14,100.
In 2006, Wayne had a book published (co-authored with Ian Spragg) entitled "Hawaii 501 - Life As A Darts Pro". It chronicles the ups and downs of his life as a professional darts player during 2005.

The Mardles are a closely knit family group and they all live within easy distance of each other.

Wayne’s parents live in Romford and his married sister Donna only lives two minutes away.  

Wayne married his wife, Donna, in July 2002.   Donna is a very good darts player in her own right, having played over 100 county matches for Essex.     She recently showed just how good she still is by winning the major ladies singles tournament at The Barbados Darts Festival – using Wayne’s darts! 

They have a dog, a chocolate Labrador called Toby.
